Solution UCMS: Personnel management and payroll calculation as service

Along with usual solutions for human capital management at the enterprise, SaaS technologies (software as service) gain distribution in this segment recently. The solution of UCMS company allows to perform payroll and personnel management using remote access through safe network.

Architecture of a product

The solution of UCMS company for remote control the personnel and payroll is the cover created based on the Ulcimus platform allowing to develop necessary business applications (Business Skins). The platform was specially developed for creating applications which include all necessary for the centralized installation with secure remote access on the Internet or a private global network (WAN). Besides, when developing Ulcimus special attention was paid supports multi-national and multilanguage vozmozhnosty.

It is also worth noting that the Ulcimus platform is scalable that allows to satisfy requirements as small companies which standard setup, and the international corporations satisfies with about ten of thousands of employees which needs specific functionality. All settings are made using the Ulcimus tools, at the same time change of the source code is not required.

Ulcimus includes 3 functional layers: Externus, Internus and Fundamentum. The first layer defines a user interface, provides the corresponding web portal maintaining any quantity of the switched frames and is used for creation of the business forms specific to the company. At the level of Externus the independent two-layer model of forms which parts can be reused is applied: a layer Front managing data view on the forms customized by the user and the layer of Bek used for receiving and data translation from different sources.

The second functional layer – Internus automatically determines business logic of "business covers", automatically created web services for calculations, including elementary, such as benefits and awards, deduction, etc. Besides, at this level access to composite functions, such as scenarios of payroll, description of reports or integration models is provided. At the level of Internus the internal modern language is applied to the web services customized by the user.

At the level of Fundamentum preserving and extraction of data with use of effective methodology of conversion between metadata of the database and XML-data is controlled. At the same level the mechanism of notifications at changes in the database is implemented. Also Fundamentum includes the built-in mechanism of protection and statements.

Flexible options of installation

The Ulcimus technology allows to apply a system in this "multi-tenancy" to Wednesday (Wednesday with multiple membership) when one installation of software can service a significant amount of the companies of persons, including support of such scenarios as: the centralized and/or regional HR-management and management of payroll; support of different legislations in uniform service center of payroll; support of structure with uniform legal entity or a great number of legal entities with flexible hierarchical structures.

Web interface

Access to HR-applications and applications of payroll is performed via the web portals created for specific needs of HR managers, clerks of the salary or for the functions "Self Service" (self-service) used by employees.

Time management

Control functions time include the following options: daily collecting of sheets through "Self Service"; support procedure of an approval/statement; the system of multilevel statements through business roles; support of multidimensional accounting and the rules of verification of sheets determined by the user; flexible description of working schedules and also support of creation of cumulative sheets of divisions.

Self-service of the employee

Via the web portal of the employee the following self service features are supported: submission of personal sheets; access to personal information for drawing up requests and reporting; viewing and printing of own pay slips; mailing of electronic notifications by e-mail and the SMS.
