2019: The announcement of a method of increase in cybersecurity in telecom networks using artificial neuronets

Scientific Research Institute Masshtab, entering into Avtomatika Concern of State Corporation Rostec on October 17, 2019 presented the innovative solution - "A method of increase in information security in telecommunication networks using artificial neural networks".

The solution allows to increase stability of functioning of infotelekommunikatsionny networks (ITKS) of telecom operators due to application of the program product "Artificial neural network" (PI INCE) on their network elements (routers, firewalls, servers, etc.) PI INCE implements mathematical methods of artificial neural networks for identification of DOS/DDOS attacks (the hacker attacks like "failure in service") and provides communication with a management system of ITKS.

The solution is distinguished by cross-platform (independence of hardware and program configurations of network elements), small computing resources (the processor, RAM) and a possibility of identification of unknown of DOS/DDOS attacks. It is insensitive to small deviations in traffic of network, but allows to reveal unexplored anomalies of traffic and also to react to network events which are insignificant for the nonintellectual system of protection.

In addition the solution has capability to self-training for the purpose of receiving more effective protection and excludes participation of the person in processes of writing of rules of filtering of messages, configuring of intrusion detection systems at setup of a system of protection of information security of ITKS.

This solution can be applied in one of the main products of Scientific Research Institute Masshtab - the Cronus firewall which can perform functions of the router, firewall and intrusion detection system. Application of a method, as expected, will allow to increase competitiveness of Cronus.
