Gazprom to develop the platform of digitalization of production based on AI and import-substituting technologies

Gazprom VNIIGAZ is head scientific center of Gazprom in the field of technologies, in October, 2019 announced open competitive selection on rendering services in development of a mathematical model of an intelligent system of operational geological and technology monitoring, planning and management of development of fields on the basis of the import-substituting^[1]. The starting price of purchase is 38.7 million rubles.

Based on work the prototype of the platform of digitalization of industrial complexes on the basis of which intellectual monitoring and strategic management is exercised of complex production systems should be developed. Production and technology complexes of production and trade preparation of natural gas concern like those. Creation of similar platforms is one of strategic directions Gazprom, said in terms of reference to purchase.

The platform of digitalization assumes cardinal change of approach to management of the field due to implementation of the "essentially new self-organizing systems" allowing to provide adaptivity of management process to conditions of natural evolution of the field. With its help in Gazprom expect to give to management big flexibility and efficiency and, eventually, to increase efficiency of mining.

It is important to note at the same time that the basic principle of creation of the systems of new type is broad use of the modern tools of artificial intelligence providing support of processes of monitoring and formation of management decisions in the conditions of uncertainty, - authors of terms of reference note.

Along with creation of new models when developing a prototype of the platform the practices received as a result of earlier carried out research works in different years will be used. Treats them, including, development of the application software of a system of gas field No. 9 of the Kharvutinskaya area of the Yamburg gas-condensate field. On the same field, follows from terms of reference, it is going to carry out also an inspection of a prototype of the platform of digitalization.

Works are required to be performed in four stages. The term of the last of them is designated by the end of October, 2021.

In documentation to competitive selection details what sort import-substituting technologies should be used in a platform prototype are not specified though they are mentioned in the name of purchase. Gazprom refused to comment on the questions of TAdviser connected with this condition.

In 2017 Gazprom approved the list of the most important types of products for import substitution and localization of productions where both software and software and hardware complexes enters, mainly, used in the field of exploration and development of fileds and for creation of automated process control systems at stages of production and processing.
