Contents of the project
The Lyumene LLC company is representative office of LUMENE Group in Russia which develops, makes and brings to the market high-quality products on care of skin, decorative cosmetics and hair care products.
At the beginning of 2009 due to the need of cost optimization and increase in transparency of management of company management the decision on carrying out audit of key business processes and their reflection in an information system was made. The choice of the consulting company was made for carrying out audit on the basis of the closed tender. By its results as the contractor of this project the Crucial element company having high competence on the implementing solution "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8", used in the company and also wide experience of implementation of consulting projects was attracted.
Project Tasks
Based on the booked audit the project plan of reorganization of an information system of the company and automation of the main business planning processes, budgetings, management accounting was made.
Within this project the following main subsystems were implemented:
- Sales planning and purchases;
- Budgeting;
- Management reporting.
Project Steps
According to the project plan the following works are performed:
- Development of the functionality which is absent in the standard solution "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management";
- Modification of the functionality existing in the standard solution according to requirements of the Customer;
- Development of the additional mechanisms of input including caused by different interpretation of data for the purposes of managerial and accounting;
- User training;
- Development of methodical documents on key business processes, including:
- planning Technique;
- Technique of formation of budgets;
- accounting Methodology with a binding to documents of a system, instructions to jobs (the description of business process, responsible for business process, with a binding to the documents used in a system and instructions for their filling), on functional units: sales; purchases; inventory control; accounting of the VAT.
- Project maintenance at a stage of trial operation.
Project Effect
At the moment all planned project works are performed, required functional sections are automated. A system functions in the mode of the centralized database, in commercial operation there are about 80 jobs.
Implementation of an automated system allowed:
- Reduce costs for accounting and reporting;
- Increase reliability and efficiency of obtaining information;
- Obtain information in cuts unavailable earlier.
In plans of further development of an information system – implementation of subsystems of tax accounting and the reporting under IFRS.
