2019: Finding of 6 hours in the KT-tomograph

In October, 2019 it became known that 70-year-old Asenka Christoff spent about six hours in the computer tomograph (CT) in one of the Bulgarian hospitals because of negligence of the medic.

The woman was taken to hospital with pneumonia. When the daughter by the name of Stefka Sabinova came to visit her, the pensioner in chamber did not appear. The woman began to be interested in her location at doctors and nurses, however nobody could prompt to her where her mother got to.

The daughter contacted police then gone began to be looked for on all hospital.

As a result it was locked in the KT-scanner in an office which was locked. Having heard a sound behind a door, the patient began to shout to attract attention: so the woman also managed to be detected.

It became clear that the assistant to the radiologist Kameliya Krastev put the woman in the device and, having recorded her, left. According to doctors, long stay in the tomograph did not affect Christ's health as that was not included. However relatives intend to file a lawsuit against personnel and the management of hospital where they so negligently treated health of the pensioner.

The worker of clinic, on whose fault an incident occurred, after it went on leave. It is threatened by a penalty, a reprimand and, perhaps, dismissal.

The director of medical institution Aneta Krysteva said that "the hospital carried out an inspection" on this case.

Relatives of the elderly woman did not risk to trust in local doctors again and sent her for treatment to Sofia.[1]
