2019: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Implementation
On October 23, 2019, Microsoft announced that the Swedish watch brand Daniel Wellington has implemented the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central enterprise management system from the Microsoft Azure cloud in the Russian branch. It fully covers all business processes of the company and allows you to prepare the opening of the next store in 10 minutes.
Thanks to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, accounting and tax accounting have been optimized, VAT reporting in xml format, profit and property tax calculation have been set up, and import accounting has been automated: customs declaration data is now automatically loaded, as is information about the path of movement of goods and their sale. In addition, in full compliance with the state tax policy and laws of the Russian Federation, Daniel Wellington's work has been integrated with Dreamkas cash terminals: a list of products with names is loaded into them, and sales data is sent directly to Business Central with the required frequency. The system can provide a report with sales analytics for each warehouse, cash desk, and store.
One of the features of the project is that nothing had to be changed in the company's standard ERP system for implementation. Special extensions have been created for all changes required by the business. The team of the IT consulting company Awara IT has created a number of applications that were installed in the Russian branch of Daniel Wellington without changing the original system code. This has increased the number of working options, and possible updates have been simplified.
