At the end of October, 2019 Microsoft started consulting service Threat Experts on Demand which allows the companies to receive the help at emergence of various cyberincidents.

Clients are advised by the specialists of the center of monitoring and response to incidents working in Microsoft (Security Operations Centers, SOC). Communication with them is performed via the Windows Defender Security Center portal.

As explained in Microsoft, consultants help the companies "understand the attacks, make technical recommendations about further actions, risks and protection".

The maximum term of processing of each address is two days. During this time experts of Microsoft can request from addressed the additional information, samples of files, etc.

Microsoft did not disclose location of specialists, however it is known that Threat Experts on Demand gives an opportunity to contact more than 3500 professionals worldwide.

The organizations wishing to use service of Threat Experts on Demand should be signed on the bonus Microsoft 365 E5 rate which provides expanded access to cybersecurity service of Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).

Microsoft offers the 90-day free trial period of use of Threat Experts on Demand via Microsoft Defender Security Center.

Within the solution Microsoft Threat Experts one more new feature — the notification on the target attacks is also available. It is intended for the timely notification of the companies about critical threats to their networks. This notification includes information on terms, scales of violation and methods of invasion.

The Threat Experts service is brought into commercial operation at the end of April, 2019, but the service of Threat Experts on Demand intended for rendering the emergency help at cyber attacks came out a test stage by the end of October.[1]
