2019: The beginning of use in India

At the end of October, 2019 Microsoft provided new AI service which should estimate drivers during the examination on driver's licenses. Service is intended to replace driving instructors during the examinations to reduce tension of drivers.

The new project is known as HAMS ("Safe use of cars") and looks as the smartphone installed on a windshield. At the same time the front camera of the device is focused on the driver, and the back camera on the road and any found obstacles.

Besides, HAMS assumes use of several sensors which allow it to register distance to ahead the going transport, braking and acceleration of the car. Thus the device traces solutions of the driver and estimates movement of the car in the context of the road environment. Microsoft notes that monitoring of driving with an effective feedback is a key factor which in the future will be able to secure the movement on the road.

Microsoft stated that the new technology can bring benefit to both driving instructors, and drivers. HAMS will facilitate duties of instructors on driving, and the beginning drivers will not be overstrained under a look of the person estimating them. HAMS was already tested within training of drivers in India. It was also used as a control panel by the park of vehicles which allowed the responsible person to trace the reason of the incidents connected with security and also to estimate work of drivers.

Technologies of inner tubes, similar that that is used in HAMS, develop with great strides. Cameras which begin record at identification of blow, cameras which offer functions of voice activation and also cameras which warn the driver about an exit from a lane are already available. Perhaps, by the time of implementation of HAMS in the USA her developers will also implement a number of new features in the device.[1]
