At the Moscow office of Severstal the system of face recognition of IVA CV is implemented

2019: Implementation of IVA CV

On November 1, 2019 the IVA Technologies company reported that PJSC Severstal implemented the system of automatic face recognition of IVA CV of the Russian developer IVA Cognitive.

The project which purpose was increasing the level of security of the office building at the expense of the accuracy of identification of visitors is implemented in the Moscow representative office: the biometric system analyzing persons of employees and visitors was integrated with a classical control and management system for access (ACS) based on the equipment Race car which is earlier installed on a checkpoint.

The implemented solution works in several modes: access on the person, access according to the admission and also the two-factor system of identification integrating access cards and biometric face recognition. In the latter case, the employee brings the access card to the reader on a checkpoint, its key is transferred in the integration module where comparison of the image from the camera mounted on a checkpoint with the corresponding template in the database of the company for the purpose of determination is carried out whether really it is the same person. At positive result the key of the access card is transferred in the ACS controller for opening of a tourniquet, at negative – the signal is blocked, and the security service receives the notification about attempt of unauthorized penetration, all procedure takes less than a second.

Installation of automatic system of face recognition allowed Severstal to solve a number of problems, namely: increase in security, control of an input on the office territory, the notification in real time about emergence in the territory of the enterprise of persons from "black list", a problem of alienability and counterfeit of admissions.

Application of systems based on artificial intelligence allows not only to increase essentially security level, without creating at the same time noises for users, but also has perspectives of further development regarding application on checkpoints of industrial enterprises that is especially important for our company, noted the representative of PJSC Severstal
