2019: Announcement
At the beginning of November, 2019 the Fresenius Medical Care company started the platform for cooperation of patients and health workers. The new solution was received by the name TheHub.
It includes three integrated applications which are designed to facilitate cooperation between dialysis patients, commands on leaving and health workers. Fresenius considers that this system will allow to improve remote control of patients on house dialysis.
The matter is that the Trump's administration insists on transition from normal dialysis which remains the main source of income of Fresenius company, on house. The director of strategy and transformation of Fresenius Medical Care North America Jeff Berbank (Jeff Burbank) notes that the simple and debugged method of monitoring through the new platform will allow to accelerate transition to house dialysis, having provided to patients proper care.
TheHub integrates the applications which are earlier issued by Fresenius.
- PatientHub allows patients to enter daily data on treatment in the diary, to get access to results of laboratory researches and appointments, to report about it to a command on leaving, to order supplies and to ask for the help other dialysis patients;
- CareTeamHub allows nurses to carry out individual daily monitoring of patients who are on house dialysis and also provides support of clinical solutions;
- ProviderHub offers doctors convenient access to medical records in real time.
By the beginning of November, 2019 of TheHub more than 15,000 patients, 3000 nurses and over 2000 doctors are registered. Patients left more than more than 2 million reports and 17,000 purchase orders of supplies in a system.[1]
