2019: Commissioning of a program and technology complex Center
On November 8, 2019 it became known that Central Research and Development Institute exact mechanical engineering Center put into operation a high-performance program and technology complex. The complex developed by request Ministry of Industry and Trade RUSSIAN FEDERATION is intended for physical and mathematical modeling of natural tests of small arms and ammunition. Its power is more than 50 trillion operations per second that refers it to category supercomputers.
As it was reported, a core of a complex is the high-performance computer cluster using a specialized software which allows to calculate not only ballistics of the boss, but also a weapon status. It allows at a stage of "paper" design before the product is created in metal, to define, this or that innovation what will be the term of its service is how perspective.
At design of weapon and ammunition using a supercomputer complex Center it is possible to include also topographical features of a polygon, influence of factors of the environment and differences in constructions of targets in model of natural tests. For example, the supercomputer can simulate flight of a bullet at any height taking into account the angular speed of rotation. To carry out such tests to realities, this expedition to mountains - with weapon, ammunition, the equipment and specialists would be required. |
The complex gives the chance to model grouping of firing by variation by geometrical parameters of a bullet, initial speed and conditions of a departure of a bullet from the channel of a trunk with tracking of a trajectory of each separate bullet and determination of its coordinates.
More than 20 modules of the software, basic of which are a part of a supercomputer complex: internal ballistics, including modeling of natural oscillations of a trunk, external ballistics, processes of impact of a bullet on means of protecting, shooting on a resource and functioning of weapon in the conditions of influence of dust and water, three-dimensional model of a polygon and the interface integrating them.
Possibilities of a complex can be expanded due to connection of modules, and the open architecture allows to upgrade a complex without loss of its functionality and working capacity.
