The national park Bikin passed to solar energy

2020: Installation of five solar power units

In the territory of national park Bikin was started working by solar power units. The complex from five eco-friendly mini-power plants will provide power supply of infrastructure of the reserve. The charitable project is implemented by the Russian company "Hevel" together with ANO Amursky tigr Center. Hevel reported about it on November 19, 2020.

The complex of power stations consists of the block of solar modules, the systems of accumulation of energy, reserve sources of generation and ancillary equipment. Power of five power plants is enough for ensuring round-the-clock operation of the security cordons, tourist shelters and parking located in the territory more than 1 million hectares. Use of solar modules will also reduce fuel consumption that is important, considering a special status of the nature protection territory.

The national park Bikin is founded in 2015 for the purpose of preserving of the habitat and a traditional way of life of indigenous ethnic groups. As of November, 2020, in the territory of the park more than 40 Amur tigers live that makes nearly 7% of world number of these subspecies.

2019: Organization of power supply by hybrid power stations of infrastructure of the park

On November 13, 2019 the Hevel group reported that together with ANO Amursky tigr Center started implementation of the social project on power supply of infrastructure of national park Bikin in Primorsky Krai.

From November, 2019 to March, 2020 in national park Bikin five autonomous hybrid power stations with a total power of 10 kW will be set. The electric power will supply security cordons, tourist shelters and parking. Each of stations consists of 6 heterostructural solar modules of production "Hevel", 4 rechargeable batteries with a general capacity of 9.6 kWh, the petrolgenerator and the invertor equipment. Thanks to the warmed container, at the same time being a basis of a supporting structure for solar modules, the station it is possible to use all the year round.

The remoteness and special status of nature protection territories require more difficult approaches to power supply of infrastructure. The experience accumulated by us and availability of technologies allows to apply effective solutions to accomplishment of extremely responsible tasks. Project implementation will become one more convincing argument of further distribution of practice of power supply using alternative environmentally friendly power sources, said Igor Shakhrai, the CEO of Hevel group

The joint project of the Amur Tiger Center and Hevel company will help to reduce considerably costs of national park for providing security cordons with the electric power. In the conditions of the park delivery of fuel for generators is possible only down the river boats in the summer, and in the winter snowmobiles on the frozen bed that it does the electric power "gold". With putting into operation of the modern equipment of the inspector will be able to perform the functions more effectively. Certainly, in modern conditions to provide a tourist shelter without electricity it is impossible.
