Canon provided the scanner with high sensitivity
In the middle of November, 2019 at an annual meeting of Society of radiologists of North America (RSNA) of Canon Medical Systems submitted the Cartesion Prime PET/CT system - new bonus PET / KT-skaner, more personalized approach to the patient designed to provide.
The Cartesion Prime Digital system consists of the new detector SiPM PET of production Canon Medical and the CT Aquilion Prime system for improvement of quality of PET / KT-izobrazheny and workflow optimization. The design of a system is focused on convenience of the patient and operator, and the scanner is supplied with the innovation functions which facilitate work of the doctor.
Advanced construction of the silicon photo multiplier with individual connection allows to increase quality and reliability of images. The new detector provides high-quality images at smaller time expenditure, increasing scanner capacity. The big axial viewing field allows to accelerate scanning, reduces discomfort of patients and increases sensitivity of the scanner.
In turn, the high sensitivity can be used for effective reduction of a dose of radiation of both patients, and operators. Besides, a system is supplied with technology of air cooling which requires maintenance less often, than a system with water cooling.
