2019: The announcement of the smart infrared panel with voice and remote control
On November 20, 2019 the Perenio IoT company provided the smart infrared panel with voice and remote control. The device expands a line of devices of the company for the smart house and can be used in composition of management of Perenio Smart building after activation in mobile application.
According to the company, the infrared Red Atom panel is intended for control of TVs and conditioners with the IR-port of different producers through mobile application of Perenio Smart and/or voice assistants Alice from Yandex Smart Home, Google Assistant from Google Home. In the nearest future also support of Alexa from Amazon will appear.
It is a compact device of 50x50x19 mm and weighing 27 grams with a special nonskid rubber-covering. Its laconic design allows to enter the device in any interior without effort. The smart panel is some kind of intermediary between the system of the smart house and devices which initially were not considered as smart, but have the IR-port.
To activate the device through voice assistants, it is necessary to follow instructions of producers. Previously infrared Red Atom panel should be added to the Perenio Smart application. Further it is necessary to select the producer and type of the device from the offered list. After setup the panel will be able to transfer an IK-signal to 360 ° on distance to 10 meters. Thanks to compatibility of Red Atom with voice assistants, it is enough to ask the conditioner to lower temperature by couple of degrees or to give a command to the TV to increase volume — and it will be executed. The device supports the main models of the majority of brands of home appliances: Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, LG, Panasonic, Electrolux, Gorenje and others.
On start the following functions are available to the user: inclusion and switching off of conditioners, regulation of temperature, switching of the mode of conditioning (dry, cold, hot, a car, the fan), change of the given air volume (a car, low, average, high), switching of channels of the TV and regulation of the volume level. In the future the firmware of the device and the application will be updated. The updated functions and types of the managed home appliances will be added.
