Plantweb is a digital ecosystem. The scalable portfolio of technologies, the software and services allows to raise indicators of production, reliability, security and energy efficiency, providing to personnel information for decision making.

2019: Plantweb Optics, Insight и Analytics

According to information for November, 2019 a basis of a digital ecosystem of Plantweb are intelligent devices. The Emerson company makes a wide line of measuring instruments as parameters of technology process (pressure, temperature, an expense, level, etc.), and diagnostic parameters (sensors of corrosion, vibration, etc.) which are issued both in traditional, and in wireless options. Intelligent devices provide primary information on parameters of technology process, parameters of a condition of equipment and also measurement necessary for diagnostics and self-diagnostics.

Digital ecosystem of Plantweb

Within a digital ecosystem of Plantweb the Plantweb Optics platform allowing to collect data and signallings about a status of different asset types (KIP devices, the dynamic equipment, the equipment of technology process, etc.) and to transfer this information in the form of notifications to personnel of the enterprise is developed. Such notifications are personalized, i.e. a certain specialist (the engineer of KIP, the technologist, the head, reliability manager) obtains information which concerns the equipment entering its area of responsibility and is necessary for it for decision making.

For example, the engineer of KIP will receive notifications on signallings of KIP devices, and reliability manager — the notification concerning the equipment which is marked as requiring special attention. The notification comes to the terminal of the specialist and to his mobile device; the specialist can also redirect the notification or create own manually.

The platform supports work with such products of Emerson company as field wireless gateways, a control system of a status of KIP of AMS Device Manager, a control system of the dynamic equipment of AMS Machinery Manager and also data transmission under the OPC UA protocol. The Plantweb Optics platform is also integrated with a number of the systems of the computerized maintenance and repair (CMMS), such as SAP S/4 HANA and IBM Maximo that allows to generate warrants for works in the automated mode and to monitor work on maintenance of the equipment. At last, integration into analytical applications of Plantweb allows the Plantweb Optics platform to work with results of analytics of a status and efficiency of a production equipment.

At the same time Plantweb Optics requires installation in network of the enterprise and has a number of system requirements.

Distribution of analytical opportunities on all production rates, since field devices — one of the most promising achievements of digital transformation. The digital ecosystem of Plantweb has continuously extending analytical potential. Analytical means are built in intelligent devices and devices, allowing how to transfer the measured and settlement values of process parameters, and to provide diagnostic opportunities.

Analytical software of Plantweb Insight provides the analysis of a status of "health" of a production equipment and efficiency of its work of rather project indicators using the built-in mathematical models of the equipment.

The software of Plantweb Insight requires installation in network of the enterprise and has a number of requirements to the server.

At last, the Plantweb Analytics platform also known as KNet, represents a full-scale, separate system for machine learning and work with Big Data of an enterprise scale in general, and allows to analyze operation of the separate equipment, technology process in general, to perform optimization of the technology mode for performance improvement or optimization of consumption of energy resources.

One of the most important components of the platform is the module allowing to analyze behavior of the equipment and in case of a deviation from the normal mode to determine the possible reasons of such behavior and their effect by base of the reasons and effects of failures and also to predict further succession of events. The platform can collect data from different sources — OPC servers, the OPC UA protocol, a process data archive in PI System — and also has ability to integrate with the CMMS systems.

Analytical opportunities of a digital ecosystem of Plantweb

Analytical opportunities of a digital ecosystem of Plantweb play an important role in transition from scheduled preventive maintenance to maintenance on a status. Other important factor of such transition is availability of expert support. Development of IT infrastructure creates new opportunities of secure access to data from equipment manufacturers, and allows specialists of the enterprise to work jointly with specialists of producer over identification and elimination of problems with the equipment within the concept of "the related services". Expert technical support can be provided quickly without departure on the enterprise. Maintenance of Emerson valves or service for vibration diagnostics can be an example of such service.[1]

2016: Beginning of development of an ecosystem of Plantweb

Since 2016 the company develops the digital ecosystem of Plantweb integrating technologies, products, solutions and Emerson services in the field of digital transformation of production.
