2019: The automation module for the Integrated Operations Center Nokia platform based on Tarantool

On November 28, 2019 the Mail.ru Group company announced that Nokia developed the solution based on Tarantool for automation of developments in the field of industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) in Russia. This software solution will expand possibilities of the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Nokia platform and will allow it to work with boundary cloud applicaions (Edge Cloud).

Nokia Integrated Operations Center

According to the company, the automation module based on Tarantool was developed for the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Nokia platform together with the division of Nokia laboratory to Skolkovo which is engaged in prototyping and development of pilot IoT-solutions for the Russian market.

Thanks to moderate requirements to to the processor and memories this solution can work in any infrastructure, i.e. not only at powerful servers, but also on devices with ARM-processors. Processing speed information will allow to use this platform in design and implementing solutions for implementation of scenarios Industry 4.0, including for applications which will be used over future high-speed networks communications 5G where one of the main criteria of efficiency is minimization of delays by transfer and processing of a signal.

This project confirms readiness of Nokia and Mail.ru Group to support the efforts of the Russian enterprises in different sectors of economy directed to digital transformation.
