2019: Start in Moscow

At the beginning of December, 2019 in Moscow earned service for sale of surpluses of food with a 50 percent discount of LastBox. It began to compete with the Eatme project which was started in the Russian capital two months before.

The restaurants, cafe, bakeries, candy stores and grocery stores connected to LastBox place in service the products and dishes in certain time (most often after a lunch). The user buys food at half price in the application, previously having selected the next institutions.

The order is paid through the Internet, and it is possible to take away it during a certain interval of time. It is necessary to take away products from an institution to users independently. In cafe or a bakery it is necessary to report an order number and a verification code for receiving food.

LastBox intends to add to the application  the special card which in real time will show in what institutions and to what address advantageous offers work.

In the program it is possible to subscribe for the pleasant dishes and institutions to be aware of advantageous offers. Service sends push-notifications on the smartphone.

By the beginning of December, 2019 the LastBox application is placed in App Store and Google Play. 10 institutions, including network  of coffee shops "Coffee Truth", bakeries Professor Puf, "Karavay-SV" and Poppy-head are connected to service. In  processing there are more than 100 requests for registration in the platform. For work with service entrepreneurs need to leave the request on the website LastBox.

According to creators of the project, it allows consumers to save on food which besides does not need to be prepared, and institutions instead of emission of excess products can gain an additional income. The amount of food waste is as a result reduced that, in turn, reduces harm to the environment.^[1]
