In December, 2019 Roche released mobile application for determination of glucose in blood on a special test strip. The user needs to point only the smartphone camera at this strip and to take two pictures.
Indicator test strips are used for approximate measurement of level of glucose in blood at patients with diabetes, at people with risk factor or violations of metabolism of fatty acids, at suspicion of diabetes, in need of the emergency diagnostics in the medical centers, treatment and prevention facilities, kliniko-diagnostic laboratories and hospitals at ekstrenny diagnostics during pregnancy.
Systematic express determination of glucose of blood test strips gives an opportunity to the patient to confirm or disprove the fact of the raised sugar in blood, to control glycemia level, to the doctor — to adjust the treatment course.
The program under the name Accu-Chek SugarView by means of a special algorithm analyzes images and issues result — from "low" to "very high" the content of sugar.
The application is intended for insulinonezavisimy people with type 2 diabetes or the diagnosis at which there is a risk of development of this disease.
