Biography

2019: Dismissal for waste of money in a strip clubs

In December, 2019 it became known of dismissal of the CEO of Turvo Eric Gilmore for violation of corporate rules. After the company learned that the cofounder used the credit card and spent more than $75 thousand, for entertainments in a striptease clubs, the board made the decision ahead of schedule to resign its authority.

Announced the Bloomberg agency Gilmore's leaving. According to it, during the three-year period Gilmore spent $76,120 thousand for "entertainment centers for adults", at the same time data in reports on credit cards of the company were previously forged. This more than a half from the amount of $125,000 spent by the company for leisure of employees for the same term. When the chief financial officer of Turvo detected waste, Gilmore did not begin to deny the fault.

At the same time Eric Gilmore said that the board of the company did not adhere to the proper procedure at discharge it from the CEO's position therefore he was forced to file a lawsuit. Finally Eric Gilmore's claim was settled in September, 2019 then the question was closed and the former head remained in Board of Directors of Turvo and by December remains the largest shareholder of the company. Scott Lang is appointed the new CEO of software developer.

The Turvo IT company was founded in 2014. It develops the platform for joint work of different suppliers and customers, including consignors and carriers. The startup, in addition to Eric Gilmore, was based by Sai Nagbot and Jeff Danzhel. Means for creation of the company were received from investors and famous people among which there is a head of Nest Tony Fadell, the CEO of Box Aaron Levie and the head of department of Square Product Engineering Gokul Radzharam.[1]
