Capital deliveries (LEAD WMS)

2017: System implementation of management of the warehouse LEAD WMS

At the end of 2017 Capital Deliveries company, the Russian distributor and the importer of confectionery and grocery products, and LogistiX company completed the works on automation of the logistic center located in the Moscow region.

The logistic complex of 10,000 sq.m is equipped with 24 docks and has height of storage of 11 meters. In a warehouse the shirokoprokhodny technology with frontal pallet racks with boxed/piece selection from the lower tiers is used.

Prerequisites of the Project

• There was no warehouse management system, warehouse transactions were made "according to paper".
• Irrational use of warehouse resources.
• Considerable time labor costs in the course of the Inventories set in view of lack of marking of storage locations and "hints" on set cells.
• Growth of business and volumes of cargo handling.

Work progress

Within the project the warehouse management system LEAD WMS was implemented and integration with a corporate information system of 1C, data collection terminals and a weight complex for control of a piece component is performed.

All basic processes of warehouse cargo handling are automated: acceptance, placement, replenishment, enrollment, control, consolidation, shipment. The Capital Deliveries company is also engaged in rendering complex services of safe custody (3PL) – for the purpose of accounting of all transactions made in a warehouse and their cost the billing module was implemented.

For formation of gift and promotional sets in a system the functionality of "Production assembly" is implemented. Process of creation of new material of several completely is controlled a system on all production cycle.

Also hands-off processing of the main (a residual expiration date) and additional special requirements of partners, for example, use of a certain type of a pallet, marking shipped by Palette special packing lists, special laying of boxes on a pallet, Palette winding methods by a streych-film and others is provided in a system.

During the project the LogistiX command provided fast reaction to new requirements and changes, and thanks to dense interaction of project teams the necessary solutions which allowed to save the rate of start and to provide effectiveness of the project in general were quickly studied, - Zafarkhon Alikhodzhayev, the logistics director noted.

Project Results

• The warehouse management system LEAD WMS is implemented, all processes are automated
• The number of employees was laid off more than by 2.3 times (from 160 to 75 people) at increase in sales volumes by 10%.
• Performance of transactions on all sections is increased.
• The quantity of errors and influence of a human factor was reduced.
