2019: Upgrade of a test station at the plant of high-voltage inputs to Khotkovo
On December 25, 2019 the ABB company announced, that the generator of surge voltages on 1200 kV on the existing test station of the plant to Khotkovo was successfully visible in operation. This work was carried out together with representatives of the Swiss company Haefely Test AG specializing in development and production of the different systems for tests of electric equipment. The purchased equipment of Haefely Test AG allows to test composite standard (storm) pulses of 1.2/50 microsec and also switching and chopped pulses.
According to the company, the generators of surge voltages (GSV) serve for insulation test of electric equipment as storm and switching impulses for coordination of insulation breakdown strength with overvoltage influencing it. GIN represents the battery of the high voltage capacitors working in the mode a charge discharge and providing high surge voltages at discharge. Condensers in the charging mode are switched on in parallel, and in bit - is consecutive. Switching of condensers is performed using spherical dischargers. Besides, GIN includes a capacitive voltage divider, the device for formation of chopped pulses and safety devices for grounding and removal of residual charges from condensers after completion of work. Management of tests, registration and processing of data retrieveds is performed by means of modern computers that provides customizability and ample opportunities according to the analysis of results of tests.
End of this important and difficult project of upgrade of a test station of high-voltage inputs opens for our plant possibilities of carrying out acceptance, standard, qualification and investigation tests when checking of the released equipment and approbation of the updated technologies. The generator of surge voltages will fully allow us to confirm compliance of our products to such standards as to GOST P 55187-2012 and the international IEC 60137:2017. We are going to use GIN not only for carrying out tests of inputs, but also for our dry transformers.
