The Wave Program Computer System (PCS) is held for use in gas transmission societies for the purpose of support of adoption of dispatching solutions on control of gas transmission systems (GTS).

2019: Start of the program computer system

On December 23, 2019 it became known that the Rosatom company announced start of the digital product "Wave" – the program computer system developed by the Russian federal nuclear center – All-Russian research institute of technical physics of a name of the academician E.I. Zababakhin (All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Technical Physics) together with Gazprom and intended for support of adoption of dispatching solutions for control of gas transmission systems. The digital product "Wave" was prepared for an output to the market within program implementation "Digital products" – one of key components of uniform digital strategy of Rosatom state corporation.

As noted in Rosatom, support systems of adoption of dispatching solutions to which the digital product "Wave" belongs play an important role in work of automated systems of supervisory control in the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS). With their help automation of planning, control and the analysis of a status of technology processes, developments of corrective actions and assessment of their possible effects are performed.

The purpose of development of supervisory control of ESG at the present stage is transition to a pro-active method of management upon which there is determination of a forecast best status of ESG and its formation by development and sale of commands for management of production facilities taking into account time of reaction of a system for these commands. "Wave" helps to solve some of these tasks: for December, 2019 the solution is successfully used as a modeling tool in four child gas transmission societies of Gazprom.

According to the developer, the Wave program computer system (PCS) provides accomplishment of the following tasks: carrying out engineering calculations of stationary and not stationary operation modes of GTS; calculation and control of the GTS current modes in real time; forecasting, optimization and planning of the modes of transportation of gas; training and advanced training of dispatching personnel; the complex can be also applied to carrying out engineering calculations in the field of design of gas transmission systems.[1]
