2019: Automation of remote sale of keys in online store

In November, 2017 the ComPortal company decided to automate remote sale of keys in online store and asked for the help in Neti group. Announced this Neti on January 10, 2020.

The customer wanted to accelerate shipment of keys to software via the website and the accounting systems of the representatives.

Earlier managers shipped activation codes in the manual mode. The client asked keys, managers brought documents to 1C, found suitable codes in Excel, created the closing documents and gave all packet to the client.

To simplify remote sale and to lower load of managers, Neti developers needed to implement the program interface on web services in 1C. Then with their help to integrate UT 10.3 where sales accounting and a warehouse, with online store and accounting programs of partners is kept.

Several subtasks which were solved during the project:

  • Automation of multiple loading and accounting of keys in 1C from mail letters.
  • Automatic creation of documents of implementation in 1C and sending printed forms to the customer together with license keys at sale.
  • Development of the program interface on web services 1C.
  • Development of mail notifications for clients of orders.
  • Development of management sales reports.

The general labor costs on the project made 843 hours.

After project finish the customer received the following results:

  • Retail clients of ComPortal do not call managers for purchase of keys to software any more. Instead of it they buy keys in couple of clicks in online store, without spending excess time.
  • Wholesale clients integrated the accounting programs with 1C of ComPortal and now send requests for purchase of software directly from the systems. They can print activation codes on the cash voucher and give them to buyers upon purchase, without thinking out additional methods of transfer of keys.
  • For managers there was only a function of filling of a system keys. They need just to select letters from which to take data. Keys are loaded into a system automatically.
  • The document package, printed forms and license data form and go to buyers automatically. For this purpose managers do several clicks.
  • It became simpler to managers to create stickers for physical sale of software. Keys with the description are in a system in the form of the table now.

The ComPortal company received functionality which helps to increase sales volume due to automation of shipment of keys. The customer saves working time of managers, simplifies process of purchase of software for retail clients and thanks to integration of the accounting systems accelerates sales for wholesale partners.
