Sberbank and PIK started the Russia's first service of online payment of apartments by bank cards

On January 16, 2020 Sberbank and PIK announced the Russia's first service of online payment of the real estate by bank cards. Now on pik.ru it is possible to pay through the Internet purchase of the apartment, parking place or kladovy premises in any project of the PIK group.

To pay off with the card, it is necessary to reserve the apartment on the website, to enter personal data and contacts and through a personal account of a proizveta payment. PIK specified that non-cash payment is possible only at payment of total cost of the apartment.

At the same time the transaction can be made only using the letter of credit (money transfer to the special account, access to which the developer gets after registration of the transaction).

Thanks to the reached agreements it will become much more convenient to thousands of our clients to purchase the apartment. At the same time for clients it will not turn back additional costs — the commissions on online transactions are not provided — the deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank Anatoly Popov noted.

According to him, in the future every tenth apartment will be paid with the card. Since the end of December, 2019 on January 16 of the 2020th using online payment 12 transactions are carried out. Rates on which PIK will pay Sberbank for service are not published.

Sberbank became exclusive service provider of acquiring for PIK. At the same time as told RBC in bank, several large developers clients of bank to the middle of January, 2020 also prepare for start of such projects.

VTB is ready to implementation of similar transactions, began to handle an issue of involvement of builders to acquiring in Russian Standard, reported in the companies. Also Alfa-Bank is going to offer special terms on acquiring in this segment.

Sberbank already carried out a pilot project on payment of the real estate by cards. However, as explained RBC in bank, then none of builders fully used this functionality, acquiring was applied only to armoring of apartments and other services.^[1]
