Smart Climate (a climate system for a car)

2020: Announcement

In the middle of January, 2020 provided to Volkswagen a climate system with voice actuation which allows the driver or the passenger to regulate temperature in the car using simple commands.

The Smart Climate system is included in the package of the new Golf car as fixed function of the Air Care Climatronic autoconditioner. The Smart Climate system allows to activate numerous functions of the conditioner voice commands it seems "I am cold" or "to me is warm".

In the whole Volkswagen defined five most often used scenarios and transferred them to the Smart Climate menu. Now it is possible to ask the car to provide "a clear type" (protection of a window), "warm legs" (supply of warm air in a zone of legs), "warm hands" (supply of warm air through openings on the front panel), "cold legs" (giving of a cold air in space for legs) and "fresh air" (a cool breeze on inside of the car). It is also possible to give more exact instruction, for example "to increase temperature by three degrees". Digital microphones in the car will recognize who gave a command, the driver or the passenger, and then a system configures the corresponding controls.

It should be noted that voice commands of Smart Climate activate a system only for strictly opredlenny time. When a system decides that the command is executed (for example, hands of the driver are warmed), the on-board computer returns settings for the previous positions, without complicating the driver.

The conditioning system can be adjusted using a touch slider or voice input. The driver and the passenger can get access to management of the Air Care Climatronic menu with the filter from allergens and three-zonal control via the screen of an information and entertaining system or a touch field is lower using buttons of direct access.^[1]
