2020: Announcement of a RFID system of identification of the car

On January 30, 2020 the Mikron company announced release of the RFID solution allowing to manage automatically entrance and departure of cars from places of the parking. A system will increase capacity of the check point and also will simplify control of security in the territory, completely excepting unauthorized arrival of transport.

RFID system of identification of the car

According to the company, the RFID system of identification of the car works independently, does not require special operating conditions and can be integrated with the available control and management system for access (ACS). A system includes automobile tags, the common software, the RFID reader and the controller which are mounted on the available check point equipment: barrier, gate or other monitoring devices of perimeter.

RFID system of identification of the car

The cars having access to the territory are marked by ultrahigh-frequency RFID tags which are pasted on a windshield or a back part of a rear-view mirror. Tags information, necessary for identification of an object, is stored and entered to uniform information base for the purpose of a binding to the specific owner. At approach of transport to the check point there is a reading of information from a tag and exchange of it to a control and management system for data on right of access. If journey is resolved, the barrier in front of such machine automatically opens. Identification of vehicles happens at distance up to 15 meters.

Control and fixing of journey using RFID technology accelerates journey and does it more comfortable, at the same time unauthorized arrival of the car on the territory is completely excluded and costs for operators of a parking are minimized. A system provides identification of vehicles "-others" from 15 meters and automatic opening of barriers therefore the driver does not need to go out of the car or to open a window.
