The Russia's first operation on removal of hernia using the Da Vinci robot surgeon is performed

At the end of January, 2020 the first was carried out in Russia operation on removal of big hernia with the help robot surgeon Da Vinci. It was made by surgeons city hospital No. 31 in Moscow.

In  the lower department of a stomach where there was   hernia of 10 x 15 cm in size, made a miniature section, inside created a small cavity which was filled with air for visualization of surrounding fabrics and bodies, and entered the camera and "hands" of the Da Vinci robot there.

Then step by step otslaivat fabrics, and as a result directly under skin of a stomach the wide tunnel in which the hernial bag — was well visible better was formed, than at open transaction. After the hernial bag was removed down, on the place, on top at the edges of a cavity sewed a polypropylene grid. It is necessary in order that connecting fabric which will not allow hernia to appear further again sprouted.

That operation managed to be performed using the Da Vinci robot the patient did not have section of an anterior abdominal wall, so, there was also no painful effect which would accompany it in the postoperative period.  Respectively, at such transactions there is no risk of suppuration of a postoperative wound also —  the manager of the first surgical department Igor Andreytsev who performed operation told.

According to him, transaction took place successfully, it were not required to the patient long rehabilitation and even postoperative anesthesia. At the same time transaction for the patient was free as it is carried out according to the policy of compulsory health insurance.

During normal band transaction the doctor should excise already available hem, reach a hernial bag, delete it and impose atop a grid. Such transactions, as a rule, do using  laparoscopy, and since February, 2020 began to operate patients with such diagnosis using the robotichesky surgical Da Vinci complex.^[1]
