With opening of new retail network "TOPSHOP" there was a need of upgrade of a system of goods revaluation. The requirement of the customer that when carrying out goods revaluation there was an opportunity to perform it selectively (for example, a sale of a summer collection in the fall) was feature of this project. If revaluation selective is made (not all collection), then to find in a trading floor among thousands of commodity units the necessary several hundred very difficult. Especially as time for carrying out remarking of goods is strictly limited.

Therefore the decision to implement in TOPSHOP retail network such system of goods revaluation which in combination with acceptable cost would meet the high requirements to functionality, usability and service and also reliability and speed in work was made. On the other hand this system should be adapted from the point of view of already available the software and the equipment.

The Geksagon company proposed to the customer the unique complete solution which executes a broad spectrum of tasks in the course of marking and remarking of goods. The solution is based based on data collection terminals of Casio DT-X5 and mobile printers of Zebra Technologies QL320Plus company, connected under the wireless Bluetooth protocol and using program providing GOODS, developed by specialists of Geksagon company. However within this project the software, in addition to usual tasks, such as accounting of stock balance, acceptance and shipment of goods, selection of the order, etc., included additional function of marking which allows to carry out goods revaluation to a short time.

Project Results

Now using the new terminal the employee of shop in the course of scanning of all goods, having detected the necessary unit, can print the new price label at once. The mobile solution having broad functionality allowed to simplify significantly process of goods revaluation and to reduce at the same time the time expenditure and possible errors connected with a human factor.
