Bouygues reported a cyber attack on Twitter: The computer network @ Bouygues C has become a victim of cyber bullies. We are doing everything possible to return to normal life as soon as possible, maintaining contact with customers and partners, as well as with the relevant authorities.

Bouygues reported that it did not interrupt work on construction sites, and the company's staff "did everything possible to ensure the uninterrupted operation of our company in this situation in order to minimize the impact of cyber attacks on our customers and partners."

According to experts, the Maze ransomware group was behind the attack. Recently, they created a website where they listed all the victim companies that did not pay the ransom and have already begun to publish some confidential company data. Among other things, attackers publish information about employees, including names, home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, bank details and drug testing results.

The cyber attack that hit Bouygues was also aimed at servers with sensitive data. It is assumed that the attackers managed to seize many documents before technical groups blocked access to the entire computer system in order to stop the leak of information.[1]
