In "M. Video Eldorado" implements the module of management of the warehouse yard of SAP Yard Logistics

2020: Yard Logistics SAP implementation

On February 18, 2020 the M of Video Eldorado group announced commercial implementing solution for management of the warehouse yard of SAP Yard Logistics. The logistic module expanded under tasks of the retailer allows to organize and control traffic in the territory of distribution warehouses and also to automate work planning of all platforms. The solution will help "to M. of Video Eldorado" to build the uniform centralized control system and monitoring of all goods flows, to increase capacity of warehouses and quality of logistics services.

50 thousand machines a year bring goods from more than 300 suppliers on eight central distribution warehouses of Group. From there the equipment is carried on regional warehouses and in M.Video and Eldorado shops across all Russia. This process requires synchronization and well-defined uniform rules which minimize formation of queues and jams. SAP Yard Logistics will become the first product implemented in the Russian market which will allow to manage goods flows on a centralized basis, on all objects at once. The system solution in the online mode will show the current situation in warehouses, the status on scheduled and priority supplies. It will allow to influence non-staff situations and to manage all flows.

Video El Dorado finished under requirements "by M." the module SAP Yard Logistics reflects the "expanded" statuses on each delivery through control points (check-point, verification of documentation, purpose of gate, the beginning and the end of unloading, departure). Thus, the personnel always know where there is a machine and what is the time occupy each processing stage. In a system an opportunity to collect statistics and to analyze data on specific sections is also configured. The statuses change online both in the system, and on the special web portal. On the same portal all suppliers of goods and transport partners will be able to register in unloading or loading on the necessary warehouse, having selected the free time slot. Partners will be able to trace all way of the vehicle from entrance and before departure from a warehouse.

During the project the M of Video Eldorado Group finished basic functionality of SAP Yard Logistics under the requirements: improved the portal for record on a warehouse and expanded the status scheme. In addition, the system of quoting and prioritization of deliveries was customized and also it is implemented infoobmen by electronic registers. Also in plans to implement service of a call-back (for drivers of trucks) with robotic informing through a call and/or the SMS on suitable queue for the machines expecting, late or arrived in advance. The robot will also announce the fixed number of gate on unloading/loading. Moreover, SAP Yard Logistics will allow to fix and trace key indicators of quality of supplier deliveries: timeliness of arrival, commodity violations, documentation errors or master data on goods.

Our examination as retailer of electronics with the high level of service gives the chance together with SAP to localize the implemented product not only under our specific objectives, but also for the Russian market in general. The expanded module on management of the entering and outgoing flows of the yard in the central warehouses will allow to build transparent both the automated control system and control of logistic flows. By our estimates, modern technologies during a high season will allow to lower delays on processing by 5%, having increased capacity of a warehouse.
