"Forward" will implement ERP Avarda

The Forvard company owning Polushka grocery chain (Bashkortostan) started implementation of the ERP system of Avarda developed by Ansoft company.

Within the first stage of the project it is going to automate more than 800 jobs in shops, branches, in the distribution center and at head office of the company.

As the information system existing in the company did not allow to automate business processes in shops and to implement complex measures for further quality improvement of service of buyers, the company management made the decision on its replacement by the new software product. Desire of the management to provide flexibility of management of a different format of wholesale and retail trade divisions within a single system of automation became additional motive for replacement of a system.

Requirements imposed to a new ERP system: a possibility of ownership of up-to-date information about sales and a commodity remaining balance in each shop and data exchange in the mode approximate to real time; the maximum functional readiness of the basic solution allowing to close the needs for automation of all main activities of the company; openness of a system and ease of its adaptation under specifics of business without loss of compatibility with the standard solution supported by the producer. Besides, the new product had to have high scalability and performance and also not to require considerable retrofitting of technical and telecommunication infrastructure.
