Sales network of the largest supplier of cable and conduction products running Microsoft Dynamics AX

The supplier of cable and conduction products "TD "Unkomtekh" and Aimen company announce end of an important stage of an implementation project of an enterprise management system. Now the solution based on Microsoft Dynamics AX provides effective management of activity of sales network of holding, integrating within a common information space the central office and 18 regional departments across all Russia.

Problem, task

After project completion of automation of sale of cable and conduction products on one of branches of sales network before company management there was a question of consolidation of all branches of holding and also manufacturing plants in the single integrated system for maintaining data on economic and financial activity of the enterprise.

Using Microsoft Dynamics AX it was planned:

• increase the accuracy of planning of deliveries;
• provide operational carrying out shipments;
• conduct operating control of level of receivables on each client;
• construct the system of the management reporting.

Thanks to united and consecutive actions of company management on behalf of the CEO Alexey Zakharov, the chief financial officer Andrey Pisanny and the development director of information systems Alexander Yakunichev it was succeeded to construct a system which meets all requirements of business of the company.

The selected solution

The task consisted that diverse credentials needed to be integrated in a common information space. All information on activity of sales network had to be processed by means of one program using uniform rules and one database. The Microsoft Dynamics AX platform completely approached under these requirements that was proved by use of a system at the initial stage.

Considering features of business and also a geographically-distributed structure of branches of trading house, specialists of Aimen company together with company management of the customer developed and approved the work plan on the project. Thanking the accumulated experience and also accomplishment in advance of the approved procedures all works on automation of branches managed to be performed in the planned terms.

Justification of the selected solution of Microsoft

Implementation

Within 12 months branches of sales network in the cities of Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Samara, Krasnodar, Volgograd, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Kirov were united in unified information environment.

During creation of a common information space the main business processes of the company were finished, the functionality of synchronization of data between manufacturing plant of cable and conduction products and branches is developed, the business processes connected with control of receivables are automated and also the system of the management reporting which allowed company management to obtain necessary information timely is constructed.

Project Results

Having received the unified information system of management and control of conducting primary activity of the company and also an opportunity to obtain reliable information from all business units in real time in the order, the company received the following results from system implementation:

• increase in turnover of warehouses more than for 30% thanks to timely planning of replenishment action and also shipping control and reserves in warehouses of branches;
• automation of control over a cycle of production and delivery of cable and conduction products from suppliers;
• reduction of stocks of illiquid products in warehouses of branches;
• increase in efficiency of work with clients;
• receiving full control over profitability of transactions in the online mode;
• reduction of document flow thanks to automation of a system of approval of transactions in a system.
