2020: Results of three years' operation of WMS Logistics Vision Suite

On February 27, 2020 the company Ant Technologies reported results of three years' operation WMS Logistics Vision Suite in a warehouse trade of the company "Lantis".

The Lantis company cooperates with Ant Technologies integrator in the field of the organization of effective management of work of a warehouse long ago. The distribution center with a total area of 10,000 sq.m. works round the clock 7 days a week in the high-intensity mode.

At a stage of the choice of WMS as the main requirements to a system tasks of whenever possible independent support and development were set. At setup of a system features of the range, specifics of work, the requirement to the organization of processes, including need of process optimization of selection, fall forward and assembling accuracy of orders were considered.

For improvement of customer service quality and reduction of errors when collecting orders several schemes of selection were developed and implemented. The technology of "multipiking" gives an opportunity to the worker to make selection according to several lists without sorting. For assembly of orders of online store "the blind (wave) method" which is executed by the grouped orders with the subsequent sorting (a method of blind sorting) is used.

In both cases build processes are completely automated. Time of selection and preparation of orders for shipment was as a result reduced, it was succeeded to leave from errors when collecting orders by pickers that as a result favorably affected the overall performance of work.

The Logistics Vision Suite system manages work of a warehouse in full. At making changes in business processes all necessary completions in a system are implemented using ready tools for setup, without development and deployment of additional functionality.

After the three-year period of cooperation Lantis is completely satisfied with operability of the implemented system. The functionality, a possibility of flexible and fast configuration of a system under the current tasks allow the company to distribute effectively resources, will focus on expansion of the range, quality improvements of customer service, cost optimization.
