SAP released software on the basis of "cloud"

StreamWork, the first application on the basis of "cloud computing" from SAP, represents "virtual negotiation" for the solution of business matters in real time. Employees of the companies, using widgets under the name "methods" ("methods"), such, for example, as a matrix of SWOT, can quickly receive answers to the questions. StreamWork can work with data from the most various sources, at the same time it is not important whether they from programs on the SAP platform or any other are taken, for example, Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services from Microsoft.

The first users of StreamWork, partners and top managers of SAP, discussed work of the new "cloud" application during the special meeting. Besides, it is already known that three vendors integrated the applications from StreamWork: these are solution providers of electronic document management and joint work of Evernote and Box.net, an also Internet service of placement of documents Scribd. Already now the demonstration version of StreamWork with limited feature set is available free of charge. The price of the full-function version begins from 9 dollars for the user in a month.

Commenting on entry into the market of the new application, the vice president of SAP David Meyer said: "It is the end only of one of the first stages of a long travel". In his words considerable implication. Now SAP was grouped after the adverse period during which the company faced a protest of users against increase in a payment for service maintenance and also lost a number of top managers. In particular, the CEO of the company Léo Apotheker left a post. Let's remind that from a duty he was released at once by two co-directors, Bill McDermott and Heydzhmen Sneyb Jim (Jim Hagemann Snabe) which headed for innovations with the purpose to advance the company.

According to Meyer, StreamWork is "the first step on a new way". The application "will naturally add that workplace behind which you are today", he says. "Now you organize web conferences and draw charts on a board, at the same time being engaged in action invitation of colleagues. StreamWork will resolve all these issues time", - the representative of SAP added.

Though SAP, undoubtedly, expects to sell the new application to the biggest corporate clients, most likely its potential audience will be opposite. In particular, one of the companies which already uses StreamWork is engaged in distribution of daily mailing about where and as it is better to have dinner in the USA, it has only 14 employees working far off and any official office.

As commented in the press service of SAP CIS, formally the application is already available in Russia as as in principle is in "the general access". Nevertheless, localizations of the application it was not made.
