2020: Completion of transfer to outsourcing of printing

On March 4, 2020 it became known that Konica Minolta completed the project of transfer to outsourcing of printing of JSC Gidroproyekt Institute. Optimization of printing infrastructure allowed the company to reduce and unify the park of devices and also to provide expense control.

JSC Gidroproyekt Institute is included into PJSC RusHydro group. The company is engaged in design of hydropower and water management constructions, is among the leading world project organizations in the field of hydropower.

The park of printing devices of JSC Gidroproyekt Institute company consisted of 115 items of equipment of different vendors, mainly A4 format devices. Within work optimization the company management made the decision to completely update the equipment, having at the same time reduced maintenance overheads and operation of devices.

Specialists of Konica Minolta set in JSC Gidroproyekt Institute of 30 additional printing devices: 14 full-color MFPs of the bizhub C250i A3 format and also bizhub 4052, bizhub C3350i and bizhub 308e MFP. Devices were equipped with the hardware-software solution SafeQ for the automated access control.

Transition to outsourcing of printing simplified planning processes of deliveries of supplies and the budget on support of infrastructure: all information on the basis of which it is possible to create requirements and to estimate costs, became transparent. Thus, costs for printing became more predicted in the long term.

Historically many companies chaotically create printing infrastructure: procurements of the MFP are conducted at different times, at the same time sometimes departments select what device to purchase. It is as a result difficult to manage on a centralized basis printing processes, to control and minimize expenses at the level of the organization. It is possible to solve this problem thanks to implementation of the complete solution on optimization of printing.
