Severstal announced results of work of uniform service center based on SAP ERP

Within improvement of operational processes in JSC Severstal earned the Uniform Service Center (USC) constructed on the SAP platform.

ETsO – the uniform service center rendering to the enterprises of a mining division of JSC Severstal of service in accounting, tax accounting, transaction accounting for IFRS, treasurer transactions.

"The uniform Service center will allow the enterprises of a division to reduce costs for accounting function and to receive the unified processes with transparent structure", - the division leader "Severstal the Resource" Grubman Alexander commented.

"In general we can declare start of the Center valid. In processing of layer of documents the percent of errors made only about 0.2 percent that is excellent result", - the project manager Dunayev Sergey noted.

The pilot project of implementation of ERP on the SAP platform began at the Vorkutaugol enterprise of a mining division of the company in 2007. It allowed to optimize a number of important processes in finance and purchases, thus having proved the viability and high efficiency.

Start of Uniform service center is a part of the program for implementation of ERP on all business units of the company which main goal is implementation of cultural transformation of Severstal.

Uniform service center (ETSO), or Shared Service Centre (SSC), - the division of the company which is responsible for accomplishment and service of specific operational objectives of accounting, human resources, salary accruals, IT, purchases, security. The uniform service centers integrating basic functions of the company are efficiently cost reductions of the company. Creation of ETsO allows to nullify "бумагооборот" the companies that increases speed, quality and employee performance and divisions.
