2020: Disclosure of source codes

In March, 2020 AVA Labs opened source codes of the AVA blockchain platform which call "Amazon Web Services for finance". The solution is intended for development of the decentralized financial (DeFi) applications.

Thanks to disclosure of source codes of AVA any company will be able to start own blkocheyn with the configured validators and to release digital assets with any functions and rule sets, including virtual machines, smart contracts and a programmable compliance with law.

The release of code base of AVA completes the first stage of research and development and also shows commitment of the platform to community which is a supporter decentralized and OpenSource-technologies — the chief executive of AVA Labs Emin Gyun Sirer (Emin Gün Sirer) notes.

The president of AVA Labs John Wu emphasized that as a result of disclosure of source codes for the first time any blockchain platform will be able to allow public and private applications to interact among themselves.

AVA have a potential to become the global platform for release of all digital assets, and it is possible only thanks to its unique architectural model — Wu said.

The AVA network uses a specialized system which allows private or public a blockchain systems to interact among themselves. It is also the first system using the Avalanche protocol which represents a new method for the distributed check of transactions.

Along with disclosure of source codes of AVA the AVA Labs company announced start of an initiative of Developer Accelerator Program created for support of the AVA platform — that creators of projects, developers of open technologies, information security engineers and specialists in search of errors worked together, helping to develop AVA.^[1]
