In the middle of March, 2020 it became known of start of These Nudes Do Not Exist (TNDNE) service which for $1 generates naked bodies of nonexistent women.

We knew that we already have technical knowledge and opportunities for self-financing to achieve transformation of GAN technology into a nu content, but also, we did not expect the high competition therefore such opportunity was quite attractive — one of founders of TNDNE who wished to remain anonymous explained to the Vice edition.

He claims that in the long term the purpose consists in receiving completely AI-generated models on the basis of which it will be possible to create a photo and video records. Meanwhile the buyer receives only the still image of the woman without shirt. TNDNE is going to expand service finally to include more poses and video options for now the sold photos attract buyers generally with novelty. Unique number which confirms the rights of the owner and originality of the purchased image is assigned to each purchased model.

For creation of these models the service uses Generative Adversarial Networks — the algorithm trained at a set of images — in this case a nu — for creation of new versions of what AI can consider "nude women". The cofounder of TNDNE did not begin to open at what data sets the algorithm studies, but specified that the current database is submitted completely by photos of the European women, generally 20-40 years. The cofounder noted also that during creation of the database only those images which are considered as public property, or the data sources purchased from authoritative suppliers were used.

Future TNDNE is going to add the photo of men, but note that demand for men's naked photos is much lower. ^[1]
