On March 19, 2020 it became known that the Sistema-Biotekh company entering into AFK "Sistema" developed a rapid test for a coronavirus of new COVID-19 type and intends to submit to Rospotrebnadzor the registration file on development in the nearest future.

As the managing partner of AFK "Sistema" Artem Sirazutdinov told Vedomosti if Rospotrebnadzor registers the new test, its production can begin in short terms. "Sistema-Biotekh" already held negotiations on an occasion of contract manufacturing of rapid tests with several partners. Investments into the project do not reveal. AFK "Sistema" only said that the project is not considered as commercial.

Cost value of the test makes about 1000 rubles, knows the source of Vedomosti familiar with production parts in "Sistema-Biotekhe".

According to Sirazutdinov, test results developed by specialists of Sistema-Biotekh company will be available within two hours. It will be possible to make them in the public and private medical institutions. Accuracy of the test is 90–95% that "exceeds the analogs applied now in Russia", he added.

Besides, Sirazutdinov reported that "Sistema-Biotekh" develops a rapid test for determination of presence of a virus in 30 minutes on saliva of the person — unlike the analysis by a method of polymerase chain reaction when dab from a throat or a nose most often undertakes. Specialists of the company have an experience of genetic researches and "development of systems for detection of the different viruses" in particular connected with acute respiratory diseases the managing partner of AFK "Sistema" told the edition.

It is expected that mobile rapid tests will find application including at the airports for testing of the staying passengers from the countries with an unsuccessful epidemiological situation, in workplaces.^[1]
