2020: Start of a web system for communication with dealer network

On March 23, 2020 the DEFA company reported that it started the updated web system for communication with dealer network for the Daimler KamAZ Rus.

Before updating of the platform interaction management also happened to dealers (DMS) on the web portal which began to limit development of partner communications seriously over time. A system worked slowly and was difficult in mastering.

As a result the company management the DAIMLER RUS KAMAZ headed for updating of a system, saving the general concept of the solution — the powerful corporate portal covering all business processes with dealers across Russia. Simplicity of scaling and development of automation, ease of adaptation under market demands, fast user services were defined by the main advantages of the web solution.

The project was developed on Symphony framework that allowed to arrange flexibly a web system under requirements of business. JQuery and D3.js libraries helped to reduce labor input of development — thanks to it a system left in produktiv in 8 months after start of the project.

The first release of the portal included the functionality covering the key needs for interaction with dealer network there are addresses, reports, accounting of the movement and a remaining balance of spare parts, managements of marketing efforts and information support. The portal allows to accelerate key procedures of dealer network and interaction within maintenance.

Users work with a system via the available web interface, and the operability of processes and access to different nodes of a system are provided by moderators of the company. The storage of corporate information where now all marketing materials of dealer network, the passport of the equipment, the specification, description of actions, rates and trainings in electronic form are stored became an important part of functionality.

Thus, in March, 2020 ujlf the dealer network the DAIMLER RUS KAMAZ received the scalable tool allowing to reduce costs for the main procedures of interaction and to manage effectively key commercial processes.

For March 23, 2020 the portal actively expands functionality. In the following release there will be an automated management of technical parks of dealers, possibilities of document flow are expanded, and for commercial specialists instruments of calculation of total cost of ownership by the equipment, the TO calculator and leasing and also integration with CRM will be added.

The appeared functionality should exclude completely idle times — the electronic reference book by the equipment which too long does not make profit is for this purpose created. Work with such reference book will help to dispose effectively of resources and to competently use all assets of dealer network the DAIMLER KAMAZ RUS.
