In film company STV implementation of a complex of data storage under control of Raidix software is complete

2020: Implementation of Raidix of DWH

On March 23, 2020 the company "Raidix" announced implementing solution for production division of film company in St. Petersburg which was carried out integrator Okno-TV by "Northwest".

The complex of data storage is constructed based on software-defined DWH from the St. Petersburg company "Raidix". The complex is intended for storage of operational archive of video records and work of technical department of STV with content for distribution.

The solution includes the JBOD disk array from Western Digital, the capacity of the implemented DWH — 480 TB. As clients iMacPro workstations and the software of DaVinci Resolve for editing video records are used. The complex provides high-speed file data access and work with materials in different formats up to 4k.

Program basis of the solution — RAIDIX managing software which was developed for use among high-loaded processes. Software of RAIDIX provides high access rate to data during the work in the multithreaded mode and integrity of video records even at peak loads and machine failures. Software of RAIDIX is included in the Unified register of the Russian programs for electronic computers and databases.

During implementation specialists "OKHO-TB the Northwest" also made reorganization of server, laid local networks, reorganized an electric power supply system and also installed the cooling system — all without stopping operating activities of the customer.
