2020: Development of the system of scanning of documents

On March 24, 2020 the Smart Engines company reported that her specialists developed the system of scanning of documents for AlphaInsurance company. The implemented technical solution is intended for the high-speed translation of paper documents in an electronic form. Daily more than 20,000 insurance contracts, finance documents and incoming correspondence come to AlphaInsurance.

In processing for paper documents are created the scan images of the set quality, check data and data transmission in electronic document management system (EDMS) AlphaInsurance is executed. The system of scanning is able to distinguish barcodes, fixes time of the scanning and the employee who executed scanning, storage location of the original document and other target attributes of process. In addition to paper documents, in a system for the subsequent storage in EDMS import of electronic documents in formats PDF, XLSX, DOC was implemented.

The system of scanning provides stream input of documents. Work with documents goes at the level of a set in which there can be several different document types. Separation into sets is executed on the recognizable barcodes, placed on documents. In the course of scanning recognition of barcodes of formats Code128, PDF417, QR, EAN13, Inter2of5 is supported. At the same time the barcode on the document can be focused from left to right, from right to left, from top to down and from below-up. If on the page there are several barcodes, a system will recognize them all.

Working with a set of documents, the user sees the number of the scanned pages, and he has an opportunity "mouse" to move pages in a set and between sets. A system also offers a user-friendly interface in case it is necessary to doskanirovat or import pages to a set. Hands-off processing received the scan images includes their turn and alignment.

Process of scanning of sets of documents, despite the seeming simplicity of a task, has many methodological and technical nuances which should be up the systems of scanning are solved to standard.
