2020: Providing computing powers for search of therapeutic means against a coronavirus

On April 3, 2020 the provider of IT infrastructure Selectel announced that he was connected to the project of distributed computing Folding@Home which is coordinated by the leading scientific laboratories of the world. It is concentrated on studying of a coronavirus of COVID-19 and search of effective remedies of therapy.

Selectel tested work of a pool of dedicated servers with graphic Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 accelerators in Folding@Home network. They optimum are suitable for intelligent data analysis as carry out difficult calculations with a speed of hundreds teraflops unavailable to normal central processors. The received results allow Selectel to select to the research project additional free resources.
