2013: Implementation of the "Active Control of Payments and Investments" project
JSC Moscow City Telephone Network (JSC MGTS) - one of the large European companies working in the field of provision of services of the fixed telephone communication and Internet access. A major shareholder of MGTS is JSC MTS. MGTS services more than 4.4 million subscribers. The share of the main telephone sets of MGTS in the Moscow market of fixed connection makes 77.2%, a share in the market of private users — 97.8%. The number of the users connected by the company to the Internet exceeds 413 thousand.
Implementation of the product-based "Active Control of Payments and Investments" project of SAP ERP in 2012 became the next stage in development of budget management of MGTS company. The project team was faced by two tasks: implement the active control of payments (ACP) and automate the active control of investments (ACI). As a result of project implementation of the company it was succeeded to automate and bring control over budgets of payments and investments to modern and effective level, thereby, having closed a guidance loop the budget in JSC MGTS company.
Thus, the complete solution on budget management including control of purchases of payments and investments opened a number of business benefits before MGTS company:
- Operational reflection of the unrolled analytical planning (SAP BPC) in formation of budgets (SAP ERP).
- Reduction of "paper" document flow and decrease in number of iterations according to the budget due to automation of a system of approval of budgets.
- Automation of process of the expense accounting of payments, purchases, investments by means of systematization of budget performance monitoring.
- Possibility of operational condition monitoring of the budget in real time both the contractor, and the head (Top manager).
- Operational informing responsible persons on events in budget management by means of a subsystem of notification/notification/mailing.
- Formation of expense items according to the IFRS standards.
- Increase in efficiency of use of budget funds at target and investment programs.
2011: Development of a budgeting system
The project on development of a budget management system (in 2011) became the next step of joint cooperation. The entered completions allowed to improve use of already implemented functionality (Active control of the budget) that in turn allowed to reduce operating time of budget controllers and contractors in an accounting system and to increase performance.
2010: ERP SAP implementation
Cooperation with TeamIdea company began fall of 2010 with the project on automation of a budget management process of purchases - "Active control of the budget" of product-based SAP ERP which main objective was activation of On-line of control of the purchasing budget in the operating system of accounting. On the basis of the examination of the current processes conducted by consultants of TeamIdea the concept of control automation and control was offered by the budget. Implementation of a management subsystem the budget increased process performance of planning and control that allowed MGTS company to manage the purchasing budget quickly.
