The cloud division of Mail.ru Group will support online formation of Higher School of Economics National Research University and other Russian universities

2020: Free access to cloud solutions for Higher School of Economics National Research University

On April 7, 2020 Mail.ru Group reported that it within the program of support of remote education in Russia will free of charge provide to Higher School of Economics cloud solutions Mail.ru Cloud Solutions and other services. They will ensure reliable and smooth functioning of the platform of online education which students of the university and a number of regional universities use.

The Higher School of Economics National Research University will be able to transfer the management system for online courses to cloud infrastructure of Mail.ru Cloud Solutions. The company will provide server capacities and also storage for video lectures and other educational content. It will allow to scale the "Online Education in Higher School of Economics National Research University" platform and also to ensure its smooth and safe operation even in the conditions of a high load.

The Higher School of Economics National Research University in the current semester (March-July, 2020) opened access to the platform for the regional universities which are on a remote format of training. 76 online courses are available to passing, and their list will extend. For April 7, 2020 rates already use 24 universities - network the partner. On free connection of students to online courses of Higher School of Economics National Research University of the request gave 32 universities.

Mail.ru Group and Tower intend to develop partnership: integration of other IT services of the company into work of Higher School of Economics National Research University and also creation of joint educational and infrastructure projects is planned.
