2020: Implementation of software-defined networks and services of cyber security
On April 9, 2020 the company announced AkzoNobel expansion of partnership with Orange Business Services within collaboration in conversion of own global network and infrastructure of security. The cooperation purpose — to integrate information and operational technologies (IT/OT) and to enhance cyber security. Partnership will allow AkzoNobel to invest more in innovations, having accelerated digital transformation.
According to the company, Orange will provide for this task to the client of the solution of local and global software-defined networks (SD-LAN and SD-WAN), services of multisorsingovy integration (multisourcing service integration), services of information security and consulting. Besides, Orange supports the AkzoNobel project on centralization of management network by processes within which all objects of the company, from productions to outlets, in all regions of presence will be connected to a single system.
As the integrator of digital services, in the services for AkzoNobel Orange will use services and technologies from different suppliers of network and voice solutions. It will allow the client to simplify the scheme of partner interactions and to cut down expenses.
Information and the AkzoNobel Orange operating systems uses the center of monitoring of cyberthreats (Security Operation Center or SOC) for the organization of end-to-end security. For this purpose, relying on examination of global division on information security of Orange Cyberdefense, means of the analysis of invasions, events of security and risks assessment will be united in a single system. Will provide additional processes of ensuring cyber security for the mobile staff and also clients and partners of AkzoNobel to addition, Orange.
The translation of the applications used by AkzoNobel in a cloud environment will become one of stages of transformation. Orange task - to provide reliable and safe connection of digital jobs of staff of the company worldwide to these applications.
The technology of software-defined networks will help AkzoNobel to optimize expenses on communication services: offices and other points of presence of the company will be able to work to cloud resources directly on the Internet, but access to applications, crucial for business of the company, will be provided in a priority order through high-speed links of communication. Plus to everything, Orange will help to pass AkzoNobel from already used means of communication to modern cloud services of unified communications.
Orange also provides consulting support of AkzoNobel on use of solutions for data analysis about business processes of the company. These solutions are integrated in the AkzoNobel systems and are controlled at the global level. Such approach will allow to receive evident uniform reports together with interpretation of indicators and councils for increase in efficiency.
