In AKSA NetSuite company in 7 months forced out SAP

The Asahi Kasei Spandex America (AKSA) company, the division of the Japanese corporation Asahi Kasei Group which is engaged in production of the wide range of fibers for the textile industry automated financial and management accounting on the NetSuite platform.


ERP system "on demand" from NetSuite replaced SAP solution R\3 used earlier at the enterprise. A new ERP system covered accounting of inventory items, purchase management and orders, financial accounting and the reporting, requirements analysis of clients. Thanks to the SaaS model, users of a system got online remote access to all information necessary for them by means of specially developed and adapted user interfaces.

During implementation which in total lasted 7 months functionality of the SuiteFlex platform and, in particular, the SuiteScript programming language and integration opportunities of SuiteTalk was involved. Such combination, according to the developer, is capable to implement all features of accounting necessary for the enterprise of the textile industry. Including, in a system the products binding to the specific order is provided that allows to meet specific requirements of certain clients and to turn out for them products with the unique set characteristics. For obtaining the set specifications the interfaces with corporate systems of clients organized through standard web services are used.

According to the customer, transition to the new platform allowed the company to expand the used functionality and at the same time to save considerable means which had to be put in support of necessary IT infrastructure and consulting services of third-party firms earlier.
