ZTE participates in creation of commercial network OTN within the project for China Mobile

On April 10, 2020 the ZTE Corporation company, the international supplier of telecommunication solutions and also corporate and consumer technologies for the mobile Internet, announced signing of the contract on implementation of phase 13 of the project of the centralized equipment procurement for an interprovincial backbone transport network of China Mobile in the western regions of China. The western regional network of the operator covering 19 provinces of the People's Republic of China will become the world's largest commercial optical transport network (OTN) with a total length of 53,828 km.

Within this project the ZTE company will provide the different modes of coding for satisfaction of requirements of different scenarios of data transmission on distant, average and short distances in the western regional network China Mobile.

Besides, the unique algorithm Beyond-100G Flex Shaping allows to perform multipoint optimization at the optical and electric levels, effectively increasing distance of data transmission and considerably reducing quantity of regeneration payments that, in turn, considerably reduces expenses on creation of network.

ZTE is one of the few suppliers locating complete solutions of hybrid optoelectric switching 200G. The architecture of ROADM and OXC developed by the company supports the flexible planning of services at the optical level which is increasing efficiency of operational operational maintenance and reducing time necessary for start of different services.

Aiming to meet promptly growing requirements to traffic during a 5G era, the China Mobile operator for many years actively works on creation of the superfast OTN network 100G covering all regions of China. This project on equipment procurement of trunk OTN network consists of the western and east subnets.

ZTE takes active part in projects of the western backbone network of China Mobile. In particular, by request of the operator, the company already created two subnets of OTN 100G. These networks cover 20 provinces and municipalities of China with a total area of 7,729,100 sq.km that makes about 80% of all overland territory of the country.
