In April, 2020 it became known that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) implements the software of Verint company for fight against COVID-19 coronavirus. The cabinet selected 49.9 million UAH for implementation of this project. The corresponding order is published on the website of the government.
According to order No. 389 of April 8, the SSU will buy and will install dispatching system and reactions of Verint NowForce, necessary for implementation of the actions directed to prevention of spread of a sharp respiratory disease of COVID-19, the caused SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the territory of Ukraine.
In communication to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine it is entrusted to these to perform the specified expenses at the expense of means of a reserve fund of the state budget.
In turn the SSU should approve the list of the expenses connected with implementation of the specified actions in week time, and till June 1 to submit the corresponding report on use of means.
As reported on the website Verint, the product NowForce is a product which extends according to the SaaS model (the software as service) and is intended for control of observance of a quarantine during a pandemic. The program uses means of communication, cards and data collection for assistance to medical authorities and security at different scenarios. That emergency services reacted instantly, for citizens the SOS button is created.
In April, 2020 in Ukraine toughened a quarantine which was prolonged till April 24. In the country movement of people on stay time on the street is limited, mass actions are prohibited.
