2020: Preparation and testing of a possibility of carrying out online lessons

On April 14, 2020 the Digital Design company reported that it together with Dokumentum sistems LLC held preparation and testing of a possibility of carrying out online lessons at school No. 28 of Ivanovo based on the platform of a video conferencing TrueConf.

According to the company, this solution also completely corresponds to the Decree of the Governor of the Ivanovo region in connection with a pandemic of COVID-19 according to which schools of the Ivanovo region should provide training in the remote mode. Having analyzed experience of distance learning in our country and the world, specialists of school No. 28 of Ivanovo came to a conclusion that without presence of pupils in real time at a lesson it is difficult to provide due quality of education as it is important to receive a feedback as at a normal lesson – therefore a carrying out format online of video lessons was defined as optimal. Employees in the shortest possible time unrolled Digital Design and Dokumentum sistems LLC and customized the system of a video conferencing based on the TrueConf platform and provided consulting support.

A system allows teachers of school to carry out at the same time online lessons, to show different files, including an electronic board, to call pupils for the answer and to interact with all class in a chat. Low technical requirements for connection to a system allow pupils to join in the presence of Internet access a lesson practically from any device. Important feature is that the TrueConf platform is a product of the Russian development.

Such format of the organization of educational process allows to calculate accurately the diagram of lessons and the number of the connected users and consequently, and load of the server of educational institution – it positively affects stability of system operation. The flexibility of the TrueConf platform allows teachers to master also other formats of interaction: hold meetings and meetings with the management, the closed lessons, lessons only for registered users and the opened lessons with a guest access by clicking the link without registration of users.
